Long ago, there was a musician called Gong Mingyi who played the piano very well, and many people wanted to hear his performance.
One day, he played the piano in an open field. It was just the late spring with very beautiful views. In a good mood, Gong Mingyi played the piano better than usual, as the music was extremely pleasing to ears.
Seeing a cow eat grass in the grassland, Gong Mingyi suddenly wanted to play music for the cow. So, he started playing the piano to the cow.
Though he spared no effort and played the elegant music called Qing Jiao, the cow didn’t react to his music at all, but instead kept eating grass.
Realizing the cow could not enjoy such profound music, Gong Mingyi changed to another composition. The music at times sounded like the sounds of a mosquito, a gadfly and a calf. Then, the cow shook his tail, and for some time, cocked its ears, and listened to the music wholeheartedly.
This story is used to ridicule the behavior of telling the profound rules to stupid persons, and also laugh at those who do not acknowledge the listeners when speaking.
