◎ Strategies of the Warring States
The tiger hunts all types of animals to serve himself. One day, the tiger caught a fox.
Not afraid of the claws of the tiger, the fox said to the tiger, “How dare you eat me? The Lord of Heaven has dispatched me to be the king of all animals. Now, if you eat me, you will violate the command of the Lord of Heaven. You don’t believe me? Then, I will let you see my power. You just follow me to see whether those animals will escape when they see me?”
Thinking the fox’s remarks were reasonable, the tiger walked toward the fox. Indeed, the animals all scattered upon seeing them.
The tiger didn’t know the animals had escaped because they were afraid of himself, but thought they were really afraid of the fox.
