夏威夷

蓝色海洋岸黄沙，
信风吹绿火山涯。①
港湾夜空满目红，
星光垂落灯万家。
日观健儿翻浪板，
夜赏美女手舞花②。
沉船诉说珍珠港，
和平只有阿罗哈。③
注：①信风：夏威夷群岛由火山爆发形成。太平洋信风徐徐吹过，终年温暖如夏，却无南国之酷热潮湿，十分适合人类居住，是旅游圣地，一年游客700万人左右，是岛上居民的七倍。
②手舞花：夏威夷土人能歌善舞。舞蹈动作以四肢、臀部为主，尤其是手的动作十分丰富。用来表现当地人热爱自然、热爱生活的深厚情感。夏威夷土人以肥胖为美，许多舞蹈者高大肥胖。
③阿罗哈：夏威夷土人语。译为“我爱你”、“你好”、“谢谢”等，是这里人们相互问候的常用语，表达友好善意。

Trade winds over the yellow-colored sandy beach by the Pacific
And blowing between the islands of volcanoes till its inlets；
Balmy and warm with the city lights，
I see that all harbor lights are shining under starry skies；
During the daytime I meet with the brave young surfers，
And by night I chanced to say Aloha to those hula dancers；
On the harbor，the salvaged sunken warships told us stories
Decades later，and together we pray for peaceful Pearl Harbor.

the stupendous roar of hundreds of waterfalls can be heard from afar，
as if tens of thousands of steeds in winds are chasing clouds；
the roll of distant thunder from the cataracts stretching ten li，
and following the lightening sword crashing down the valleys deep；
oh behold！among the dragon rocks there rises a rainbow
way up high where birds of different colours are echoing aloud；
now order such wealth remains in the thick rain forest，
that has longly been brazil's constant source of bliss in the world.

万马奔来风卷云。
十里瀑布雷霆阵，①
长剑挥落峡谷深。
龙盘巨石吐彩虹，
禽翔净空鸣和音。
苍茫雨林源头来，②
天降巴西一年春。
注：①十里瀑布：巴西伊瓜苏大瀑布横列约5公里，成弧形展开，水势浩大。
②苍茫雨林：伊瓜苏周围分布着24.7万公顷的原始森林，已辟为国家公园，是十里瀑布的源头。

In a open country，I found how beautiful the farmland here
And how big is grassland lying before me！
On grassland，I find strong ox and sheep are grazing，
And on farmland，I taste the fresh beef roasted；
Seeing the beautiful scene，and reminiscing the 15 century
Of the deeds the Spanish did，
For she conquered the region with strong firearms，
Whoever today remembers the hatred the rovers had done？

探戈舞始船码头，①
风靡世界争源流。
绿色农场烤肉鲜，
无垠草地皆羊牛。
十五世纪西班牙，
跨海掠土南美洲。
火枪天花灭土人，②
而今谁记殖民仇？
注：①探戈舞：发端于阿根廷的船码头。码头工人休闲时相互嬉戏，动作逐渐演化为探戈舞动作，后被欧洲人引入，加以完善，变为今天的探戈舞，风靡全球。因之，欧洲人认为探戈舞为他们所创，阿根廷则认为探戈舞发源于本国。
②火枪天花：西班牙人进入南美洲，占领阿根廷后，推行种族灭绝政策，用屠杀和传播天花等残酷手段基本灭绝当地土人。现在到阿根廷，见不到黑人，印第安土人为数也不多。

With snow-covered Andes peaks，and blue-waved Pacific Ocean，
The country lies at the foot of Andes，and beside the Pacific，
It is so narrow and that long；
On flat fields，grapes are grown，
Yet on steep mountain slopes bronze are mined；
When remembering the great event happened decades ago，
Then on purpose I paid a visit to statue at Presidential Square.

雪峰安第斯，
碧波太平洋。
依山傍大海，
国土一带长。
平地栽葡萄，
坡岭掘铜矿。②
思寻前总统，
广场看塑像。③
注：①智利：智利为南美洲重要国家之一，国土呈狭长形。东有安第斯山与阿根廷相隔，西临太平洋，国土南北长4300公里，最宽的地方180公里，最窄处仅90公里。
②铜矿：智利是个山国，盛产葡萄和葡萄酒，又是铜矿藏十分丰富的产铜大国。
③广场看塑像：1973年，智利****代表人物阿连德选举获胜成为总统，这在当时的社会主义阵营引起很大反响，因为南美洲是美国的“后院”，****代表人物（共产党）成为总统，被认为是社会主义在全世界取得胜利的又一标志。但此举为美国支持的****所不容，皮诺切克将军领导军人发动政变，调动军队攻打总统府，阿连德率卫队抵抗，终因力量悬殊失利，阿连德总统因公殉职。在智利首都圣地亚哥总统广场有其塑像一座。
好望角
（2004年5月29日）
船队当年扬帆时，塔灯闪烁汽笛哀。①
一堑开凿苏伊士，从此开普人不在。②
孤鸟飞鸣蓝天下，波涛依旧浪花白。
注：①两洋：大西洋、印度洋在好望角分界。
②开普：好望角、开普角均位于南非最南端。
The Cape of Good Hope

Created by the Great Nature，is the Cape of Good Hope，
As a dividing line，it makes the two oceans apart ever；
Remembering long time ago when the cargo boats sailing by，
With lighthouse brightening
And siren nailing loud and long，
Upon dredging of the Suez Canal，never does sailing come，
And since ever we abandoned the Capetown；
Oh！I still could hear，the chirps are those lonely birds flying
And they are flying under the clean blue sky，
But on swirling waves，I could see white foams rolling still.

沙掩神庙孤影留。②
方尖碑上记日月，③
圆柱群中探春秋。
地上狮身人像在，
山中石陵法老朽。
高绝文明谁与共？学者罢笔寻缘由。
注：①金塔：埃及金字塔，距今已有4000至5000年历史。
②神庙：法老时期建造的规模宏大的庙宇，神庙墙上用象形文字记述法老治国的功德和权威。
③方尖碑：法老时期高耸于神庙中的巨型石碑，方形，顶部成尖状，用以记述法老的功德权威，象征权力至高无上。神奇的是，几十米高的方尖碑是用整块石头打造的，更神奇的是，如此高的、重量达几十吨的方尖碑是如何竖立起来的？至今仍是未解之谜。
Ancient Civilization of Egypt

For thousands of years，the Pyramids have been towering aloft；
Though beaten by strong wind and covered by flying sands，
The trace of the lonely temple can still be defined；
On one side of the stonewall，remote events were carved，
But from the round stone column，I know how time passes by！
Up on the ground，the statue of Sphinx is well remained，
But underground in tomb cave，the Pharaoh's corpus decayed；
Oh，it was who once created the civilization of that high？
And to barely lay the puzzle is yet difficult for experts of today.
