六盘山新韵
（2005年10月）
中国工农红军长征翻越六盘山，胜利到达陕甘宁边区已经过去了七十年。自治区斥巨资重修六盘山红军长征纪念亭，供人们缅怀先烈无畏壮举。
山高风暖，
吹去繁思远。
红旌打到宁甘陕，
壮士横刀呐喊。
虽已紫气盈东，
脱贫猛于缚龙。
摘取白云一片，
长卷再书丹彤。

金灿灿的土哟蓝瓦瓦的天
水灵灵的绿草
青翠翠的山
一颗明珠塞上闪呀闪
这就是咱回回人的宁夏川
白净净的帽儿
黑甜甜的眼
香喷喷的“花儿”
墩实实的汉
咱黄河水养大的回回人
敢捧金心面对面
火辣辣的情哟
殷切切的恋
红彤彤的心
赤烈烈的胆
咱扎根黄土地里的回回人
也敢骑龙踏浪涛里颠
Homeland of the Huihui People

The golden yellow soil，the tile blue sky，
The waterfall grass meadow，and fresh green mountains，
Beyond the Great Wall in the North，
A pearl is brightening，
That is our Hui Hui people's home，the Ningxia plain.
The clean white cap，the hairy black eyes，
The sweet local song，and the strong honest men，
Those are the Huang He River reared our HuiHui men，
Oh，how dependable of these people，my fellow men！
The bold resolute feeling，the earnest ardent love，
The absolute heartfelt loyalty，and utter braveness men，
That is deeply rooted locality of the Hui Hui men.
They dare to ride on the crest of the new wave
And brave enough they try to make an incessant headway.
Spring of the Shahu Lake
April 1，2005
I cannot tell the difference between the lake and the sky，
Indeed，which one is blue and which is green？
When breeze flows across the lake，rippling the surface.
Willows embroider the bank，
Bringing people the feeling of a warm spring，
Weeds are getting green，with birds resting with them.
The lake loves the mountain，as the moon loves the sun.
Visitors crowd the lake，and drive boats across waves.
Oh，my dear friends，when can you fulfill your dream
And visit the beautiful place of the Shahu Lake？
Right across the Yellow River lies the heavenly scenery！
沙湖春

凭阔湖天，
难分谁碧谁蓝。
微风起，
波漪涟涟。
岸柳摇曳春意暖，
芦丛新绿，
飞鸟自休闲。
秀水恋沙山，
日月婵娟。
人如潮，
舟拍浪浅。
问君游梦何时圆？
黄河那边，
塞上看江南。

宁夏中部十年九旱。2005年同心、海原等县遭遇五十年、十年一遇大旱，贫困群众缺钱、缺粮自不必说，缺水、人畜饮水困难成为最突出的救灾课题。有的村庄远距离拉水单车费用高达八十元以上，五口之家一吨水（一方水）要用二十天。曾发生过麻雀与人争水的场面。
晴空烈日烧，
百里无青苗。
水车村口停，
落雀不飞逃。
Thirsty

Hanging overhead in vast clear sky is a scorching sun，
For quite hundreds of li in the fields，
Nowhere dose young crop shoots be found；
At the mouth of the village，when water wagon stops，
And before men，a swarm of sparrows swoops down，
Oh，thirsty drives them to catch water and fly never！

Under the same sun，the same moon，and the same sky，
By nature，no difference should lie between us men.
But，pity thing I have seen is the ill-minded bosses，
For farmer labours' three years of savings，
And they squandered them up at one sumptuous meal.
On the Lantern Festival
February 23，2005
Snow falls down on the lantern while the full moon was high，
In the Golden Lounge，we enjoyed this beautiful evening；
During the Lantern Festival show，
I admired the dance postures，with pleasant songs，
And with delicious yuanxiao accompanies us at the night；
I saw the dragon fly，and I heard the phoenix sing，
Exactly like a poem says：
This morn of spring in bed I am lying，
Not to awake till birds are crying.
With a Golden Roaster's song，A year of harvest is coming.
元宵节
（2005年2月23日）
2005年元宵节在北京度过。当晚瑞雪纷飞，应邀参加人民大会堂三楼********联欢会，和中央领导一起观赏文艺节目。场中休息时，工作人员送上元宵供大家品尝。美好夜晚以诗相记。
月圆云上雪打灯，十五良宵金色厅。清曲曼舞伴幽香，①长夜苦短品汤羹。②龙骧凤鸣春风早，又闻金鸡报年丰。
注：①幽香：晚会每个席桌上放一盆水仙花，发出阵阵幽香。
②汤羹：汤圆。

虽有热腔愁烦多，
治国亲民事多磨。
积弊革除须时日，
长忧岁月起蹉跎。

Though filled with ardor and zest，I always feel that depressed，
Managing the state affairs well is a good thing for people，
Though good but it is never easy done；
As at a stroke it is not so easy to shake accumulated bad habits，
Hence，worry and depression means the empty time waste.

飞扬昼夜雪不休。
山川绒白报春暖，
盼得此景已十秋！②
注：①民愁：宁夏中部干旱带缺水的百姓。
②已十秋：这场雪是十五六年来宁夏从南到北分布较均匀，最大的一次降水。
Snowfall at the New Year Day
January 21，2006
The falling of feathery flakes is the God-sent white snow，
And it is at the New Year's Day，For nights and days，
Continue is flour-white snowflakes，
And that really took farmers'long-time worry away；
Gazing at the silver coated scene of mountains and plains，
And also is seen the smiling faces of our fellow-men，
Oh，look，that is the scene people long dream-to-achieve！
